Zero Waste Marathon | CCPGOA

In order to promote and create awareness and sparking behavior change in Citizens on “Zero Waste”, the Corporation of the City of Panaji in collaboration with El Shaddai, One Earth Foundation and Ayya Waste Management Services conducted the Zero Waste Marathon in the City of Panaji on 17th December 2022. Around 1500 Citizens including Dhempe Collage Students participated in the marathon and collected approx. 250 kgs of waste.

The Corporation provided handholding support by providing the protective
equipments such as hand gloves, waste collection bags and also collection and transportation of the collected waste from a designated collection point.

Awareness were promoted via Segregation posters, repeated announcements on stage to educate people of use of bins, segregating into wet and dry, and also to not litter the streets while running/walking.
